Getting ready for a date is a total pain! Here are some tips for getting ready for a date so you can choose the right outfit, make a great first impression and impress your date!
Ladies, getting ready for a date is stressful; you want to look attractive, yet effortless, which is a tricky line to toe. Ultimately the number one thing that you should wear on a date is something you’re comfortable wearing. Not specifically physical comfort but emotional comfort as well. If you’re constantly going to be pulling down your dress, checking to see if you bra is showing or not paying attention because your feet hurt too much then you aren’t going to have a good time, and you date probably won’t either. The best way to ensure your outfit is going to last through your date without you fidgeting with it is if you’ve worn it before. If you bought something new take it out on a test-drive to grab coffee with a friend or run a few errands just to make sure everything is ready to go. If you’re comfortable in the outfit you’ve chosen you can relax and focus on your date.
Gentleman, when getting ready for a date it’s always best to be over dressed rather than underdressed. What you wear really depends on the type of date you’re going on but if you’re going out for dinner or drinks nice dark wash jeans and a button down are always a safe choice. Also don’t forget to wear nice shoes and a belt, nothing is worse than having a nice outfit on and pairing it with old, dirty shoes.
It may seem like common sense but before a date always make sure to shower right before your date but take it easy on any fragrance, this goes for men and women. You want to smell good but not overpowering, too much fragrance can cause headaches and distract your date.
